Dear Autumn,
I feel like we need to have a chat! You’re giving me mixed signals.
You’re not consistent. I’d like to know where I stand. When we go out, I don’t know how to be with you…
You’re blowing hot and cold….
I get excited when I see you shining , I get so excited and all dressed up for you and then usually by the end of the day, you just switch and turn cold on me, it often catches me off guard. Like yesterday for example, you were so bright and chirpy, I loved it!
Today you’re so miserable and moody… Autumn, I can’t even lie… I think about Summer alot, we had a better connection. 😔 🍂🍂🍂🍂.
This was actually a post from my Instagram earlier this week and I thought it would be nice to also share with my fellow blog family.
My relationship with Autumn is such that I often begin to feel the winter blues as soon as we encroach October/ November. I think I’m one of those people who suffers from ‘ sad ‘Season Affective Disorder’.
I think Autumn is beautiful, the colours of the leaves, and conkers and the sun peaking through the shedding trees really makes you stop and appreciate nature and makes you realise that absolutely everything in life goes through a period of transition and a season of change, just like we do ourselves, physically and mentally.
Stay tuned for my next post on ‘Fighting the Winter Blues.’

I don’t know that I suffer from SAD as much as I just really hate the end of October and beginning of November because it starts getting cold and rainy here, which signals the beginning of about 5 months worth of sheer hell for me. The cold/rain affects my joints and I’m way grumpier in fall/winter because of it. I can’t go outside because of the cold/rain and that makes me grumpy too. I guess I’m lucky because fall tends to come late and winter, if it comes at all, is only about 6 weeks long. It’s one of the perks of living in Texas…the warm season starts at the end of Feb, beginning of March and lasts all the way to mid-late October.

In theory FALL is my favorite season. I like the coolness, having to wear a sweater or light jacket. The changing colors and blue skies. But like you mentioned not every day is like that. It can be dreary and the threat of winter is upon us. 🧤

Really Fall is your fav? I’m not a fan to be honest. I miss summer so so much.
Like today in London the weather is looking so bright and delightful whereas tomorrow is a whole different matter.

Fun read and I love that picture 🙂 I’m probably the opposite and start to feel blue when summer is coming while longing for autumn and winter although as my family is quick to point out that’s probably because I live in the desert! Anyway you’re a great writer!
