Autumn Love Letter

Dear Autumn,

I feel like we need to have a chat! You’re giving me mixed signals.

You’re not consistent. I’d like to know where I stand. When we go out, I don’t know how to be with you…

You’re blowing hot and cold….

I get excited when I see you shining , I get so excited and all dressed up for you and then usually by the end of the day, you just switch and turn cold on me, it often catches me off guard. Like yesterday for example, you were so bright and chirpy, I loved it!

Today you’re so miserable and moody… Autumn, I can’t even lie… I think about Summer alot, we had a better connection. πŸ˜” πŸ‚πŸ‚πŸ‚πŸ‚.

This was actually a post from my Instagram earlier this week and I thought it would be nice to also share with my fellow blog family.

My relationship with Autumn is such that I often begin to feel the winter blues as soon as we encroach October/ November. I think I’m one of those people who suffers from ‘ sad ‘Season Affective Disorder’.

I think Autumn is beautiful, the colours of the leaves, and conkers and the sun peaking through the shedding trees really makes you stop and appreciate nature and makes you realise that absolutely everything in life goes through a period of transition and a season of change, just like we do ourselves, physically and mentally.

Stay tuned for my next post on ‘Fighting the Winter Blues.’

200 followers on my WordPress Blog

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!

This is quite a milestone for me, I never would have imagined I could capture the attention and support from 200 people with my writing!

I’m so delighted and would like to take this opportunity to thank EACH and everyone of you for your kind comments and likes along my tiny blogging adventure.

Its all still new to me but I’ve had so much fun writing so far and also reading many of your blogs. There are many amazing writers out here, very talented and also enriched with knowledge and the ability to motivate many people miles and miles away.

I find that truly amazing, how you can touch the hearts of many through words and experience many of which you will never see in your lifetime but your words can stay with them for a lifetime – Simply beautiful!

I have learnt and discovered so much from you all and I hope I have been able to motivate and encourage many of you too which is my aim.

Mum on the Blog!

Hello my lovelies,

I have been missing in action for a moment…

It’s been a great ordeal with my children’s father since we separated in 2015 to finalise our extensive court order surrounding contact arrangements.

It’s taken a little over 18 months to have it all final and written in stone about how future contact arrangements shall be.

Initially I struggled with the thought of being away from my children and not being there to witness some key moments in their lives as I have always been there and able to.

This weekend however, really heightened the reality of how life will be going forward, co-parenting and not having the children on all weekends etc.

So I told myself, Let’s NOT get caught up in the feelings, and who wants to live there anyway? There’s no happiness where negative thoughts and feelings reside.

….And then I thought to myself… GIIIIIRL! You just need to take this opportunity to remember who you are when the mummy hat is removed and embrace every moment!

I completely changed my perception on things, because that’s what it really boils down to at the end of the day, our perception.

Our perception about things in life can make or break us and we need to be really in-tune with our thoughts which in turn will have a huge impact on our feelings.

I realised that actually, lets flip the script here… I can really use this time to recharge and be fresh and rejuvenated for when the kids are back with me and do the things I once loved before being a mother:- such as singing, song writing, dancing, reading, long baths, drawing and the list goes on.

Sooooo….

Here’s to self love and self care. πŸ’•

Look out for my pending blog on Self Love and Self Care actually… it’s just baking…

You can check out my instagram Here too, which I have not long created, so would be lovely to see some of you there… pop over and say Heeey πŸ‘‹πŸΎ!
